Let's Work Together!

Basic Paddle Brush

The paddle brush is a great option for long, straight hair. The bigger platform of bristles allows you to cover more surface area when brushing your hair. The bristles are equally distributed and strong, allowing you to brush through long hair with ease.

Round Brush

The round brush is used when blowdrying the hair. It allows you to create curls while blow-drying. The metal tube using the heat of the blow dryer to create the curls, much like a curling iron. The thin, spiky bristles help to create smooth sections and prevent frizziness. If you can master this skill, you will be able to limit the amount of heat your hair is exposed to by drying and styling at the same time.

Wide-tooth Comb

Would you like to write for us? Well, we're looking for good writers who want to spread the word. Get in touch with us and we'll talk...

Let's Work Together!

The wide-tooth comb is used for detangling wet hair. The teeth of the comb are usually made of the same plastic material as the comb itself. The space in between the teeth allows you to gently detangle wet hair without creating unnecessary knots.

Teasing Comb

The teasing comb is used for… you guessed it, teasing your hair. Teasing combs can come in different variations. A teasing comb with teeth will have smaller teeth in between to help with the teasing process. These combs are usually better for thicker hair. Teasing combs with bristles are better for finer hair types. These combs are also good for smoothing over the top layer of the teased hair for a cleaner look.

Wet Brush

The wet brush is perfect for brushing wet hair. The small, flimsy bristles allow you to detangle your wet hair without creating knots. This brush can also be used to brush out dry hair as well. This is a good two-in-one option if you are looking to save some room on your bathroom counter.

Rat-tail Comb

The rat-tail comb is used to create sections or parts. It looks like a regular comb, but with a long and skinny handle. The end of the handle comes to a point, making it the perfect tool for parting or sectioning your hair. The teeth fo the comb are close together, which is used for smoothing out the section of hair. These combs are perfect to use when styling your hair with heat tools.

Boar-bristled Round Brush

The boar-bristles round brush is similar looking to the original round brush. Instead of having a metal core, it is usually wooden. The boar bristles allow you to create a smooth blowout look while blowdrying your hair.

Knowing the difference in these tools will help you create the styles you want with ease. Think about how you normally style your hair and add the perfect brush types to your collection.
