French braid is a hairstyle perfect for both formal as well as casual occasions. It is especially popular among women as it not only gives a neat, tidy, and decent appearance but also helps your hair look stylish. When you're headed for work, playing a tennis match in the evening, or even to turn a bad hair day into a good one, this style is quite handy.
Many women worry that doing a French braid involves a lot of tough steps that can't be achieved at home. Ladies, that's not true at all. You don't necessarily have to visit a salon every time you wish to try this style. With only a few steps (instructions given below), you can easily rock this hairstyle in only a few minutes.
Classic French Braid
Before we begin, there are few things you need to do in order to achieve a perfect-looking braid.
  • Wash your hair with a good quality shampoo that suits your skin texture. Apply conditioner as well and wash your hair properly.
  • Wrap a towel around your head so that it soaks all the water from your hair.
  • Let your hair air dry, or if you're short on time, use a blow dryer to speed the process.
  • Using either a paddle brush or a wide-tooth comb to thoroughly brush your hair. This will remove all tangles so that you can braid your hair properly.
