Dandruff occurs when a fungus (like a yeast) called malassezia grows on the scalp. There are two distinct causes for this hair condition; one is dry scalp, while the other is production of excessive oil on the scalp. This article provides information on how to get rid of this infectious condition.

In medical terms, dandruff is referred to as seborrheic dermatitis. Certain eating habits, change in climatic conditions, medications, and increased stress levels are some of the causes that lead to this problem. Seborrheic dermatitis is caused due to over-shedding of the skin layer present on the scalp which results into itchy, white flakes. An anti-dandruff shampoo is generally used for hair care and treating this problem. However, the option of home remedies is preferred over commercial products, for seborrheic dermatitis. By using a natural hair pack, one can get rid of those white flakes. Given below are a few hair packs which are an excellent remedy for this fungus:

Hair Pack Recipe #5
